The Project
Farm-32 is working alongside the rich agricultural ecosystem of Khouribga Province, Morocco, to develop innovative solutions for sustainable food production. Known for its agricultural heritage and proximity to key cities like Casablanca and Rabat, Khouribga offers excellent logistical connections, with transit times to major European markets under 35 hours. The region’s skilled workforce and strategic location make it ideal for our first project.
Our initial venture is a 3,000-ton herb production facility that utilizes Controlled-Environment Agriculture (CEA). This technology allows us to control all aspects of the growing environment—temperature, humidity, light, and nutrients—enabling us to produce high-quality crops with minimal environmental impact. Our closed-loop system is designed to conserve water, recycle CO2, and produce near-zero runoff, ensuring sustainability in an arid region.
By working with the natural strengths of the region and using advanced CEA methods, we expect yields of up to 1000 tons per hectare annually, using minimal fertilizer and almost no chemical pest control. Power costs are kept low—up to 80% lower than European grid costs—by leveraging renewable energy and a highly efficient, custom-built facility.
Through this project, farm-32 aims to complement the existing agricultural landscape of Khouribga, while setting a new standard for sustainable farming in the region. Our work creates steady employment and supports year-round food production, contributing to both local and global food security.
